So, after taking a few of these classes and getting closer to 'go' time where I'm discovering the difference between need, necessity and OH that will make things so much easier I have put together a top 5 list of really awesome baby gifts. Could be excellent baby gift ideas for any future showers or advice to share with anyone you know who is pregnant. These are in no particular order, but all awesome!
Zip sheets - zip a protective case around the entire mattress and then velcro down the top layer (the piddle pad). When baby messes, just take off the piddle pad and replace with a new one. No need to pull of sheets, just replace the piddle pad and go!

Baby Classes
At this point, Max and I have taken a total of three baby classes: Birthing, Baby Basics and Infant and Safety CPR. Misty and Time have joined us for the last two which is what we did last weekend! While sometimes the classes seem long, we are always glad we took them. Let's not forget that the DuBois and Locke's find a way to turn everything into a little fun. Attached are some pictures from some of this fun! Probably one of the most memorable moments was Max pretend washing the baby and the doll head falling off. It was really hard to keep a straight face while he tried to 'listen intently' to the instructor while trying to squeeze the head back on. :)
We've got one class left to go.....Breastfeeding! Another sweet four hours of learning what to do with baby...for baby!

The Baby Bumps
So, while Misty and I were terribly reluctant to take any photos that were not wedding centric, somehow the photographer at Mom's wedding conned us into taking photos we would have never taken. While I was not saying pretty things under my breath, I am now glad we took these photos. It's great to be able to have captured how we looked at Mom's wedding and at these particular stages of our pregnancies (me @ 31 weeks and Misty @ 23 'ish).
Please note the 'I can't believe I'm doing this' grin in my window shot photo. Maybe Misty's acting classes paid off or maybe she really likes posing like this........;)

Our Little Helper - Calvin
So, we got another piece of the bedroom set in...the dresser. We put this together on Wednesday night and much to our surprise, Calvin insisted on staying in the room and helping. The other dogs were interested in being where we were at first, but soon got bored and left. Calvin, however, was in it 'til the end! For his persistence I wanted to dedicated a post to him (and to show you that we had one more piece done). Now, let's all cross our fingers that the crib really is not on back-order until May 15th.
