Tummy Time

So, let me set these videos up. I was with Maddie, in her room, playing and working on 'tummy time'. At one point, I hit this noise maker toy we have and it startled her so much that her arms shot straight out and she rolled over. I was elated! She rolled over! These videos are what transpired as I attempted to re-create the roll-over....

After a few minutes, Max decided it wasn't going to happen. I continued to video....

Okay, at this point I knew it wasn't happening so I just kept filming. More importantly, I wanted to capture a straight shot of her beautiful face.

Lastly, I filmed the end of tummy time.

Nanny Comes to Town

To help us out as I went back to work this week, Max's Nanny came to visit and take care of Maddie. She was a natural with our little angel and to no surprise since she raised two sets of twins.

Had a few minutes to spare before bedtime, so we went for a walk to the local park...behind the neighborhood elementary.

Madison and Henry - Playdate

Yesterday, 8/17, I returned to work. While it will be a gradual return, it is still a return to normalcy. Before Maddie starts her daycare, we have a few days of helpful family support. Misty, Henry and Frankie (tim's mom) were first on the job. Below are a few pics from the fun.....

Backyard Fun

Haha, just noticed Allie's butt shot in the background. Awesome...

On a recent trip to Wal-Mart Maddie and I found a fun hippo pool that we thought might be fun to try. While the work in getting this scene was almost more trouble than the outcome (blowing it up, putting the suit on, filling the pool, etc.)....I'm glad we did it and have this pool so as she grows and can actually enjoy, it we'll be prepared.

Henry Taylor Thomas Locke

Misty's baby joined the world at 3:30 pm on Sunday, August 9th. He weighs 7 pounds and 7 ounces and is 20.5 inches long. Mom and baby are doing great. She allowed my mom and I to be in the room and I couldn't have been more grateful for the experience. It was truly amazing!

Maddie is now a cousin and has a cousin....observe.....

Right now, Maddie is 11 pounds and 1 ounce and it is so crazy how large she looks compared to him. I don't have a good video of Henry's funny cry, but I am determined to get it, along with photos of Misty and Tim. They are all going home today, 8/11, after Henry gets the snip snip.

Water Baby

Yesterday, Max's birthday, we went over to a friend's pool for a little afternoon fun. Of course we took Maddie and actually decided to introduce her to the pool! She loved it and is a natural. Lots of fun photos below along with a video at the end of this post with footage of her actual first dip into the water.
