Crawling!!!!!!!!!
As of February 8th, our little ladybug is crawling. Consider this milestone marked down as an eighth month of age achievement.
video #1 - this is one night before bed as I realized....oh my gosh....she is doing more than just the army crawl. I also like the baby babble that is captured (on cue, I might add).
video #2 - this video is of her in the living room as a full fledged crawler. And naturally, she goes for everything she isn't supposed to. Sitting and watching her play in one area is no longer the norm, it is a treat. Instead, we spend our time following her around and ensuring that she is not getting into anything dangerous (we'll just say that baby proofing is not 100% finished yet).

Our little lady is learning to crawl. Our little lady likes to smash things together to hear them clink. She has discovered that if she scoots just off the carpet in the living room, that there is a sea of tile that awaits her........and anything that could possibly make noise against it. The following series is of her with one of her yellow balls and the sea of tile.
I shall translate for you:
Lastly, evidence in action of the little angel banging the ball on the tile and scooting her way around.

Good Morning Sunshine
When I drop Maddie off at school, I have noticed something never changes. As I round the back of the car and open the door, she turns her head over to the left and flashes one of her 'Good morning, Mom' smiles. It's such a great way to start a day at work for me and a day at school for her.

Henry is an Animal
A few weeks back, Grandma Margie, Aunt Marcella and my mom came to visit. Misty and Tim were in need of a babysitter one of the nights, so we got a full night with 'the man'. He is new to the eating game and is absolutely hysterical.......about the food and in eating the food. Please observe two women feeding a 6 month old, while the rest of us watched with enjoyment! What a ham.
Rub a Dub Dub - look who is in a big girl tub
In the beginning, there was the tummy tub.....
......and now we have the duck tub! Our little darling has outgrown the tummy tub and is on her way to a big girl tub. She loves it! The beak of the duck quacks which sends her (and the dogs) into a riot. She loves taking her rubber ducky friend and dunking him under the water. I, however, enjoy taking that rubber ducky and squirting her with water. She can't seem to figure that out just yet. :)

Blizzard 2010
Two weeks ago, a blizzard blew through North Texas. Schools closed, roads were shut down, driving was terrible and snowmen were created. Aside from a cracked windshield, the DuBois survived and managed to snap a few photos to remember the snow by. I think I'll want to re-visit these pictures in August when it is 100 degrees +.
Cousin's Playdate
Catching Up
Whew, I have not been the best at updating the blog. My apologies for those that have been looking for some Maddie updates. She has been great the last month or so. We've been on several trips to the doctor to fix the runny nose and finally, it cleared up. Not sure what it was or if just moving past the holiday allergy season did the trick. Regardless, we are happy because we didn't have to get tubes in her ears....just yet at least. Please enjoy!
I love this photo because she looks kind of confused as to why there is a silver thing in front of my face. The next photos (not included here) were of her trying to grab the camera from my hands.
Maddie's dear 2nd cousin, Abby (5) gave Maddie these bunny ears for Christmas. We took some photos with Maddie in them to send as a thank you.
