First Day of School

Yesterday, Monday, August 31st Maddie attended daycare for the first time!Merryhill is a private nursery that services infants up to middle school. The facility came highly recommended by neighbors and friends. It's about a mile from our house, so super close. Pictures of her first day are below:

There are actually two buildings, but this is hers. A little hidden by the overgrown bushes, but cute and quaint.
Maddie is one of 12 babies in the nursery and one of 3 Madison's (each with a different spelling).

Already, she is ignoring Mom and playing.

The first day went great and we got nothing, but positive feedback from her teacher Miss Valerie.

Tummy Time

So, let me set these videos up. I was with Maddie, in her room, playing and working on 'tummy time'. At one point, I hit this noise maker toy we have and it startled her so much that her arms shot straight out and she rolled over. I was elated! She rolled over! These videos are what transpired as I attempted to re-create the roll-over....

After a few minutes, Max decided it wasn't going to happen. I continued to video....

Okay, at this point I knew it wasn't happening so I just kept filming. More importantly, I wanted to capture a straight shot of her beautiful face.

Lastly, I filmed the end of tummy time.

Nanny Comes to Town

To help us out as I went back to work this week, Max's Nanny came to visit and take care of Maddie. She was a natural with our little angel and to no surprise since she raised two sets of twins.

We were so sad to see her leave and can't wait for another visit. Many thanks to you, Nanny. We love you!

Next week, Maddie starts daycare.

Dinner with the Lockes

To the Park, We Go

Had a few minutes to spare before bedtime, so we went for a walk to the local park...behind the neighborhood elementary.

Madison and Henry - Playdate

Yesterday, 8/17, I returned to work. While it will be a gradual return, it is still a return to normalcy. Before Maddie starts her daycare, we have a few days of helpful family support. Misty, Henry and Frankie (tim's mom) were first on the job. Below are a few pics from the fun.....
